Circular Economy: Epsilon Composite and Nova Carbon Join Forces for Carbon Fiber Recycling

In continuation of a collaboration initiated several years ago, Epsilon Composite and the deeptech company Nova Carbon have announced a strategic partnership aimed at establishing a circular economy around carbon fiber, in line with a sustainable development approach.

Thanks to this collaboration, Epsilon Composite’s production scraps are collected by Nova Carbon, which transforms them into a new, high-performance material that is reused by Epsilon in its pultrusion process— a first in France and worldwide! This circular approach maximizes the potential of carbon fiber, compared to grinding or other solutions previously used to recycle production waste from Epsilon Composite, which involved a significant loss of performance and, therefore, a degradation of the fiber’s value.

Epsilon Composite is adopting a strategy to optimize its raw materials and reduce its environmental footprint, and the innovative process developed by Nova Carbon to reassemble and upcycle end-of-life carbon fibers fully aligns with this approach.

This partnership marks another step forward for the composite industry, with a shared ambition: to combine innovation with environmental responsibility.
